The service and location is great. We were well taken care of and definitely recommended this hotel. It is clean, good views, enough space. Despite it being at such a busy location, near such a busy road, it is very well insulated and we barely heard anything.
The only downside was a long wait for breakfast on Monday and the bed was smallish for 2 people and not thay comfortable (you could feel the springs...)
Perfect in every way: location adjacent to Kings Cross/St Pancras station was ideal for our last night in London before flying home. Quiet, elegant, and beautiful décor and linens. Staff were polished and helpful. Loved the smartly stocked pantry at the end of the hall and the yummy little chocolate cakes. This will be our go to place when we are in London. Cheers and well done!
A beautiful, historical hotel that’s well located at Kings Cross. The room was well furnished but the streaming services required your own device and didn’t support mirroring. Very quiet thanks to good soundproof windows. I found the staff to be rather cold and uninterested though. Also, there was no special privileges for having gold status with Marriott
Stayed here for a week for work. Super convenient location with all of the transportation options. Rooms were very quiet, large windows, a little small compared to most American hotels but a little larger than a lot of European places.
The hotel building is beautiful and in a great location. Ishia at reception checked us in and was warm and welcoming. We managed to check in early which was helpful.
The room itself, was tired. The cream carpet rug was covered in marks and stains. If a hotel is brave enough to use a cream carpet, it should be spotless. Leather furniture in room was warn and torn in places with foam showing and some of the wooden furniture was scratched. The TV was quite dated. Enjoyed the electronic blinds and curtains and the shower was good.
I understand beds are relative to wether you prefer a hard or soft mattress but the mattress did not comprise for both parties...it's a hard mattress. We found the pillows to be too soft, almost half filled and a stark contrast to the hard mattress. The bedding instself was high quality but there were a couple of ingrained stains.
Breakfast was delicious. There was a mixup in communication and we attempted to eat breakfast after checking out. We were not meant to do this, but we weren't advised. They handled if very well and sat us down without any fuss or embarrassment.
We found all service we received throughout the hotel to be excellent.
If the room wasn't so warn I would have given five stars. They describe the hotel as a luxury boutique 5* hotel but the rooms condition did not reflect this and certainly didn't reflect the price bracket they put themselves in.
Great location right at Kings Cross Station. Got a slightly upgraded room (still small) but it's poorly designed. No real desk or place to charge electronics.
BEWARE: My room didn't have a deadbolt or security latch. I was told it's something they will be adding but I was not pleased. I thought this security feature was standard in all Marriott hotels.
No shower in my room and there was no way to use the hand shower in the bathtub without getting the whole bathroom wet. Nowhere to put the head so water would fall on me either and the holder is in a place where if the showerhead is turned on when in the holder it falls onto the floor instead of the tub.
The sink drained closed and wouldn't drain. Had to get help and the manager had to get a screwdriver to pry it back open. Bathroom overall was badly designed.
Bed could've had a better mattress but it was decent.
The breakfast and the staff there were great! The pantry is great on paper but I really only used it once since I didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel.
Status recognition was pretty good. Apparently this was one of the bigger rooms (they don't have many if any suites) and they were good about refilling the water bottles. Free breakfast was anything on the menu in the restaurant so a great perk! Didn't need early check-in or late check-out.
I'd be willing to give them another shot but would never take a room here without a shower again.
Very well located and elegant hotel. Very good and tasteful a la carte breakfast. A special mention to Kiran Bhakerd for her professionalism (we had an issue and she fixed it very professionally). Kudos for Kiran. Thanks
The toilet was smelly with a lot of flies. Agoda said the couchette room was 25m2 but it was not an accurate description. Probably just 19-20m2. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone due to small room size and the unhygienic condition
